Milad Tower | The 6th tallest tower in the world

Milad Tower, with height of 435 meters, standing in the north of the capital, is a multi-purpose tower and is also considered the main symbol of Tehran. The Tower is a part of the International Trade and Convention Center of Tehran, and hosts different exhibitions and events.

Milad Tower’s history

The Tower’s construction started in 2000 and ended in 2008, headed by Iranian architect Mohammadreza Hafezi. Milad Tower was officially opened on 2009 by the mayor of Tehran in front of 250 journalists from all over the world.

The architecture of Milad Tower

Milad Tower consists of 5 parts. Foundation, entrance lobby, shefts, head structure and antenna. There are many different parts and sections in this tower complex.

Coin Museum

Various ancient coins from Iran’s different dynasties can be seen in here, like Achaemenid Empire, Sassanid, Zand and Qajar dynasties.

Museum of Famous Iranian Figures

Located at a height of 271 meters, it takes you back in time and you can see the statues of famous historical, cultural and scientific Iranian figures.

Revolving restaurant

It is located on the 6th floor at a height of 276 meters, where you can enjoy the amazing view of the city going around under your feet.

 Dolphins Park

It is the Middle East’s first offshore dolphinarium and also the world’s highest dolphinarium.

Sky Dome

One of the most interesting parts of Milad Tower is its Sky Dome. It is a 13-meter glass dome that shows the evolutionary process of nine thousand years of Iranian art and culture. Its design theme is based on the four main natural elements: wind, earth, fire and water. Located at an altitude of about 302 meters high, it demonstrates the concepts of love, life, peace, death and justice.

There is an observation desk, located on the top of the head structure which provides a panoramic 360-degree view of the city and the mountains.
