Darband | A popular neighborhood in Tehran
Darband is a former village close to Tajrish, Shemiran in north of Tehran and inside its metropolitan limits. It is one of the oldest areas in Tehran that has created a beautiful atmosphere with its old and mountainous texture.
Darband is the beginning of a popular hiking trail to Mount Tochal. This trail is about 250 meters long, and has a number of small cafes and restaurants. Located in the north of Saad Abad Garden, and is the popular target for mountaineers.
It is a place for a full day tourism, with eating, drinking, watching the view and overall, with enjoying of ultimate pleasure. This is the first option of Tehran’s citizens to suggest to domestic and foreign travelers.

There are many stores and vendors that sell delicious, mouthwatering things such as different kinds of sour and sweet apricots, dried plums, Lavashak (fruit role up, which are compressed dried fruits), many snacks like steamed lima beans, freshly roasted corns and etc. The restaurants in Darband offer delicious Persian foods like Kebabs.
A Chairlift (Telesiege) is available too for those who are not interested in hiking and still want to see the spectacular attractions of this area.
