Kolbadi House | Elegant Simplicity
In the center of Sari you may visit an old house which dates back to Qajar dynasty , 1789-1925 . It was built for an army commander and then owned by his grandchildren. Its wooden doors and colorful windows and unique architecture attract everyone’s eyes.
Sari is well-known as a great destination for nature lovers but due to the history behind it you can find many amazing historical buildings as well and Kolbadi house is one of them. It was mostly built with bricks, wood and clay and the architecture was similar to the wealthy family’s houses of Qajar era. The first thing that catches your eyes before entering the house would be its impressively huge wooden entrance door with the beautiful designs. Having a special cellar which was used for storing food, colorful windows and of course symmetrical structure would be amongst other notable features.
