Ramsar | The bride of Iran’s cities
Located in the west of Mazandaran province, Ramsar, the bride of Iran’s cities, is one of the most beautiful attractions in the north of Iran. It is one of the most favorite and well-known travel destinations due to having natural fascinating landscapes and many legendary natural sites. Since Ramsar is located at the foot of the beautiful jungles of Alborz Mountain and the beaches of the Caspian Sea, it profits from a unique and exceptional landscape. The cultural-natural landscape of Ramsar was inscribed in the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
Jawaher Deh (The village of gem)
This village has always been popular among visitors because of its intact and beautiful nature, exceptional and extraordinary landscape, pleasant weather, the hospitality of its people and their rich culture. Javaher Deh is home to some historical sites such as the Mosque of Seyed Saeed Agha and Adineh Mosque with a history about 7 centuries and the historical Gabri graves with two or three thousand years of history.
Ghoo (Swan) Lake
It is an artificial lake with many natural attractions around it. The freshness of the air, its pleasant and clean weather and the greenery around this lake is truly amazing. Safa rood Waterfall and Sarsakht Jungle are located near this marvelous lake.
Ramsar’s hot springs
Ramsar is home to many hot mineral springs, which are popular because of their importance in traditional Iranian medicine, and are located in regions such as Sangbon, Parsian Hotel Thermal Spring, Ramsar Grand Hotel spa, jawaher Deh, Sa’dat Mahaleh and Madarshah, in Ramsar city.
The Gondola Lift of Ramsar
Being the biggest gondola lift in Iran, it passes through a 2 kilometer distance and provides the remarkable and amazing display from the Caspian Sea’s beach to the high Mountain peaks.
The Marble Museum of Ramsar
This museum is located in a palace called Marmar (Marble), in the middle of a 30 hectare garden. Local people call it Tamashagah Khazar (The Caspian Museum). This palace was built under the command of Reza Shah Pahlavi and was used as a royal residence before the Islamic revolution. It has a structure of white Marble, four carved pillars of 10 meters height and is decorated by beautiful plasterworks, stone statutes and historical, valuable objects.
The Old Hotel of Ramsar
Having a very beautiful architecture designed by European architects, this hotel has a history more than 80 years and was constructed in the time of Pahlavi I. It has a surface area of about 5000 square meters in three stories. The old Hotel Of Ramsar is considered as one of the most famous hotels in the Middle East. The hotel has both sea-view and jungle-view rooms.
Moalem Boulevard of Ramsar
Ramsar’s main boulevard (formerly known as the Casino Boulevard) has a history of about 88 years. Its excellent design connects jungle and the Caspian Sea together, like a bridge and profits from a marvelous landscape.
