7 Day Iran Tour

Intense Classic Iran Tour from Tehran to Shiraz

Day 1

Arrival at IKA
Transport to hotel in Tehran, check-in, have a short rest, visit Tabiat Bridge, then Tajrish district and its bazaar and dinner in Darband where you can feel the fresh air coming from the mountains and taste some delicious Persian food.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Tehran historical part. First of all, we visit the Golestan Palace Complex which is a UNESCO world heritage and the first tallest building of Tehran once used to be the symbol of Tehran. Then, we pass through the old Grand bazaar. Other places to visit are Treasury of National Jewels (if open*), National Garden Gate, National Museum of Iran and 30Tir St. (aka the food street of Tehran)
* Treasury of National Jewels is only open from Saturdays to Tuesdays from 14 to 17.

Day 3

Head to Isfahan and visiting Vank Church also known the Church of the Saintly Sisters, is a cathedral located in the Armenian quarter of Isfahan known as Jolfa which is still one of the oldest and largest Armenian quarters in the world.

Day 4

Isfahan city tour:
Naqsh-e Jahan Square which is a UNESCO world heritage and was the heart of Safavid capital where Shah mosque and Ali Qapu Palace are located.  Head to Yazd in the afternoon

Day 5

Sightseeing in Yazd:
The Yazd Atash Behram (meaning “Victorious Fire”), also known as Atashkadeh-e Yazd, a Zoroastrian fire temple dated to 470 AD. It is one of the nine Atash Bahrams, the only one of the highest grade fire in ancient Iran; the other eight Atash Bahrams are in India. Zoroastrian ancient cemetery known as Dakhme also known as the ‘Tower of Silence’, a circular, raised structure built by Zoroastrians for excarnation – that is, for dead bodies to be exposed to carrion birds, usually vultures.

Day 6

Head to Marvdasht in Fars to visit two UNESCO world heritage, namely Pasargadae the first dynastic capital of the Achaemenid Empire, founded by Cyrus II the Great, in Pars, homeland of the Persians, in the 6th century BC, and Persepolis the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. We also visit Naqsh-e Rostam which is the necropolis of the Achaemenid dynasty.

Day 7

Sightseeing in Shiraz:
Nasir al-Mulk Mosque known as pink mosque due to the usage of a considerable number of pink-colored tiles for its interior design. Fly back to Tehran depending on your departure
