Markar Tower clock was first established in Pahlavi Square but was destructed and its location was changed to its current place (Markar Square) in 1936.
This complex was named Markar after its founder Pashootan Ji Dusabhai Markar, who was an Indian businessman and merchant. He was a wealthy, beneficent man who devoted himself to establishing utilities and educational facilities for development of the Iranian community, especially the Iranian Zoroastrian, since he was a Zoroastrian himself.

At the beginning of the school, a magnificent courtyard with old and beautiful trees, a large blue pond filled with water, and gardens with many flowers boast off the history and the originality of this building.
There is a magnificent brick building with blue tiles comprises the Markar School, which consists of two parts: one part is a school with 18 rooms and a large hall with the capacity of 800 people, and the other part is a nursery that consists of 3 bedrooms, 9 rooms, a basement and several management rooms.
