Kashan’s bazaar | A gem in the heart of the desert
Kashan‘s traditional bazaar is one of the most worth seeing historical locations of the city that its beauty catches the attention of every visitor. This bazaar is a memento from three historical eras; Safaviye, Zandiye and Ghajari.
Bazaar’s different parts
Kashan, like other cities, has a roofed bazaar in which different trades were working like the bazaars of copper smiths, goldsmiths, shoemakers, cloth dealers, mint house, dyers, and Timche (the center of some caravansaries or merchant’s offices). In addition, mosques, caravansaries, bathes and many water reservoirs can be seen in it that each one of them was built in a specific period.
Coppersmith’s line, where the lively sound of hammer hitting on copper has always been echoed, is resided by the creators of incomparable crafts.
One of the important parts of bazaar is Timche Amin-o-dowleh (Amin-o-dowleh caravansary).the special dignity of this high building, its geometrical structures, spectacular ceiling, firmness, design and its construction’s architecture have made this building unique in its own kind.
Carpet sellers’ hall
The bazaar of handmaid carpets is a place that as you enter beautiful Iranian carpets make a special tranquility in every visitor’s mind and carpets with genuine design and drawing famous in everywhere can be seen in it.
In this bazaar, caravansaries were built that were receptive to traders and passengers who came to the city for shopping. It is interesting to know that in that time bazaar was built near the city’s main gate.
It shouldn’t be unsaid that this bazaar is the best choice for buying Kashan’s souvenirs like rosewater, herbal drinks and traditional sweets.
